Well, I am back from Japan… the trip was quite enjoyable, a lot of fun. There wasn’t much in the way of wargaming, though.  I spent most of my time in Okayama, which is miles away from any wargaming store I know… I had a visit to the castle of Okayama and some other views which would provide for fine examples for scenery should I ever choose to start with games like Bushido.

But then, of course, my life is not all about wargaming…

I did bring home a lot of things that will be useful for the hobby, though. Mostly loads of trays and small boxes for bitz and other stuff you can best get in places like Japan.

By far the best souvenir is this big old cardboard box I picked up in a store for used books (again something I love to go to when I am in Japan – always the nerd, you know…). As far as I can tell, it was originally used for some medicine…

A pity someone doodled a bit too much on this box... still the artwork and design is too hilarious to miss

And it features some very resolute japanese woman with some big thermometer… really love that design…

Actually I have no idea what I will put into this one... but I guess I'll find a use...

I’m actually unsure what I will use this one for… but don’t worry, I’ll find something…

Anyway… I am back and so is this blog…
